Imbiss 2, 2018

Inspired by „Schnellbüffetts“ at Berlin Alexanderplatz or the Naschmarkt of Vienna, the fragmentary wall relief Imbiss by Wilhelm Klotzek seems to have lost any kind of functionality. Instead it carries the already minimalistic architecture of these kiosks to the extreme. The indication of translucent glass as sight protection, that hides what is being fried or roasted, or the small ledge, waiting for hungry guests to lean on, are enough to identify, what seems abstract at first sight.
