Joseph Kosuth

Joseph Kosuth is an American conceptual artist, that belongs to an international generation of artists in the 60’s, dealing mainly with art as ideas than form. Along with artists like John Baldessari, Hanne Darboven or Lawrence Weiner, his text-based works and installations investigate the semiotic layers within language. His work is included in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Tate Gallery in London, and the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest, among others.
